Below is a detail of D Darian Smith's aerial photograph of The Fauldings factory at Southwark in about 1935 - ironically now the location of the Brighstar Brewery - showing (1) the Jolly Miller and (2) the Black Lion hotels and (3) the Haussen/Hindmarsh Brewery. The original Hindmarsh Brewery and the Kangaroo Brewery
Plan of Lots 83 to 85 of Hindmarsh showing location of the Kangaroo brewery (a) and Cudmore's(?) "Old Brewery" (b) in 1881 and 1899 (Click on the thumbnail above to enlarge; opens in new window) Lots 84 and 85 are on the south-eastern corner of Milner and Orsmond Streets. The red shading is an extension to the "Old Brewery" and malthouse, added to the plan in 1899.
